Wow! We did something non cosplay related! We had a free hotel night that needed to be used before the end of November. We looked around to see what would be a fairly short driving distance from where we live. We decided to go to St. Louis as none of us had ever been. This ended up being a great weekend get away as it was only about a 4 hour drive.

So last night we decided to go to Columbus Indiana to watch the Festival of lights parade. This was actually my first winter time parade I have ever been to and the weather was not bad. We found a seat at 3rd and Washington where the parade took a turn and the broadcasters sat.
Today we decided to take a trip to the Indianapolis zoo and had a great time! We went on Nov 6th which was the first weekend that tickets go for less due to the season. The temperature was in the high 60s which was nice for us and the animals both. This was also a great trip as it was one of the few times that all 3 of the kids went out with us.
This was our first comic con we had ever been to so we did not know what to expect. The mid Ohio Comic Con was held in Columbus Ohio. After attending Gencon earlier this year and reading the online hype about the Ohio Comic Con we had high expectations.
