The Game Room…..

Thought you all might like to see our “new” game room. Actually it used to be the dining room but since we don’t entertain “formally” much (ok how about more like never? lol) and always wind up in the kitchen when we do have company, we decided to put the room to better use.

Santa (currently living in Sebring, Florida) brought us the pool table/ping-pong table (which comes with a cover you can turn over and make it resemble a table….sort of). A lucky trip down the Clearance aisle at the local Target found us adding the electronic dart board to our game room. It’s a good thing the walls are painted as they are though because holy cow are there a ton of holes in the wall from darts gone astray!  Even the hardwood floors are not immune to being punctured by falling darts lol. Since we had them refinished we now put padding (aka towels) on the floor under the board. Competition gets hot and heavy at times. Courtney is developing quite an arm for darts and even beat Jay a time or two! You go girl! I stink at pool (Jay kicks all our butts) but I do much better at ping-pong than he does. Ok so I don’t actually keep score but my girlfriend Cindy and I can really keep that ball going back and forth! The kids think it’s pretty cool to have their friends over and play pool, darts and such….so we are now the house where all the kids go 🙂

About Wendy

I was married for 20+ years then divorced. Now with a great guy from Indy (funny story how we met!). Worked for Chase (in all it's various names and incarnations) for 18 years. No longer working thanks to a back injury back around 2000 that has led to 9 herniated discs and a major case of degenerative disc disease. That irrevocably changed my life and how I was able to live it, as well as putting an end to many of the things I loved to do (skiing, horseback riding, etc). Recently sold my home in West Islip, NY and have relocated to a brand new home in Greenwood, IN. Raised three amazing kids who I love more than my own life and have a great guy who I love and who loves me for who I am. Just got married June 2011, so when you look at what really is important, life is good!
