The green flag drops…

As you all should know by now we are NASCAR fans. The Bud Shoot Out was just last night at Daytona. This was Tony Stewart’s debut as a car owner as well as having a whole new team to drive for. Some people claim that it is very hard to do both but if last nights race was any indication of how the season is going to be then I don’t think there is anything to worry about. Tony ended last nights race in 3rd place. The Daytona 500 Qualifying was today and Tony was able to set a speed good enough for 10th. Tony also has a new team mate, Ryan Newman. Ryan came up through the ranks of dirt track racing just like Tony. Ryan won the Daytona 500 last year and had a qualifying run of 3rd for this years race. We wish Tony and Ryan all the best this year. With this news post I am adding a new page to the site. If you look at the top of the site you should see a link for NASCAR. This will take you to a section on the site with Tony and Ryan’s status for the year as well as NASCAR news.

About Wendy

I was married for 20+ years then divorced. Now with a great guy from Indy (funny story how we met!). Worked for Chase (in all it's various names and incarnations) for 18 years. No longer working thanks to a back injury back around 2000 that has led to 9 herniated discs and a major case of degenerative disc disease. That irrevocably changed my life and how I was able to live it, as well as putting an end to many of the things I loved to do (skiing, horseback riding, etc). Recently sold my home in West Islip, NY and have relocated to a brand new home in Greenwood, IN. Raised three amazing kids who I love more than my own life and have a great guy who I love and who loves me for who I am. Just got married June 2011, so when you look at what really is important, life is good!
